Needles Conversion Options Menu

A data conversion is the process of moving as much of your firm's current case management data as possible into the Needles Case Management Database. A properly planned conversion allows your firm to take advantage of all the features and benefits of Needles while still maintaining information you currently use and need. Needles Case Management Software employs a team of dedicated Conversion Specialists who make it their job to ensure that data from other programs moves into Needles as seamlessly as possible. The following menu outlines your firm's options for moving current data into Needles:

OPTION 1 – NAMES ONLY FROM NEEDLES' SPREADSHEET
$250
Needles will provide your firm with an Excel Spreadsheet pre-populated with fields. Your firm will fill out the spreadsheet completely with data from your current system. Our Conversion Specialist will import that data into your Needles program. This option requires that your firm have some knowledge about how to get the data out of your current program. No cases will be opened. Only contact information will be brought over into Needles. Fields other than those listed below will not be converted. Custom reports and custom documents can be created at the Needles standard training rate.

Available fields are: Role, Prefix, Last Name, First Name, Middle Name, Suffix, Company, SS#, DOB, Gender, Home Address, Home Address 2, Home City, Home State, Home Zip, Home County, Home Country, Work Address, Work Address 2, Work City, Work State, Work Zip, Work County, Work Country, Other Address, Other Address 2, Other City, Other State, Other Zip, Other County, Other Country, Home Phone, Work Phone, Cell Phone, Fax Phone, Other Phone 1, Other Phone 1 Title, Other Phone 2, Other Phone 2 Title, Other Phone 3, Other Phone 3 Title, Other Phone 4, Other Phone 4 Title, Other Phone 5, Other Phone 5 Title, Date of Death, Work Email, Home Email, Other Email, Website, Website 2, Website 3, AKA First, AKA Last, AKA Full.

OPTION 2 – NAMES ONLY FROM YOUR FIRM'S SPREADSHEET
$500
Your firm will provide Needles with a spreadsheet containing data from your current system. This spreadsheet can be in the form of an excel, .CSV, or other similar database file. Our Conversion Specialist will import that data you provide to us into Needles. No cases will be opened. Only contact information will be brought over into Needles. Fields other than those listed below will not be converted. Custom reports and custom documents can be created at the Needles standard training rate.

OPTION 3 – LIMITED INFORMATION INTO NEEDLES STARTER DATABASE
$2000-$3500
Our Conversion Specialist will extract all possible data from your firm's current case management program, and import it into the Needles Starter Database. Cases will be opened. You will be limited to only those fields available within the Needles Starter Database (approximately 6,000 fields). Any fields in your database that are not available in the Needles starter will be listed in Note #1 of each appropriate case. If your firm needs a casetype not listed in the Needles Starter Database, this option is not appropriate. Custom reports and custom documents can be created at the Needles standard training rate.

OPTION 4 – ALL INFORMATION INTO NEEDLES STARTER DATABASE
$3500-$7000
Our Conversion Specialist will extract all possible data from your firm's current case management program, and import it into a Needles database customized for your firm. You will work closely with a Needles Trainer and Conversion Specialist to "map" fields from your current system into Needles. Any fields in your current database that are not in the Needles Starter Database will be added by your Needles trainer. Cases will be opened and all fields will be converted. Casetypes can be added to the Needles Starter Database to accommodate your data. Custom reports and custom documents can be created at the Needles standard training rate. Your firm may request an on-site visit by a Needles trainer. The trainer's travel expenses are not included in this proposal and will be billed separately.

OPTION 5 – ALL INFORMATION INTO CUSTOM DESIGNED DATABASE
$7000+
This option is truly custom work and is designed for those firms with non-standard case management programs, such as custom in-house programs or programs used for another purpose. This option is also appropriate for Mass Tort or Class Action firms. Your firm will have an on-site visit by a Needles trainer. You will work with a Needles Trainer and Conversion Specialist very closely to create a custom system that will house all possible data from your current system. This option includes 5 free User-Defined Reports. Additional reports and custom documents can be requested at our standard training rate. The trainer's travel expenses are not included in this proposal and will be billed separately.

Each conversion option is subject to a review of your firm's data before work begins.
